Job Description

AB InBev is looking for a Checker to play a vital role in their operations. This position is responsible for accurately counting, checking, and verifying stock during dispatch and receipt, both physically and through system reconciliation. The role ensures adherence to inventory management processes, maintains safety standards, and supports efficient loading/unloading activities within the production and distribution lines.

Requirements

  • High School Certificate (Matric / Grade 12) or equivalent qualification
  • Valid forklift driver license
  • Proven experience operating a double handler forklift
  • Computer literacy skills
  • Familiarity with digital stock count devices is advantageous
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
  • Capability to perform effectively under pressure
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Maintain 5S and site housekeeping standards, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Report and address non-conformities on designated platforms
  • Uphold warehouse stock age standards by implementing FEFO (First Expired, First Out) principles
  • Perform quality control checks on packaging in the warehouse and prior to loading
  • Ensure effective inventory management and controls aligned with governance policies
  • Conduct accurate daily stock counts using handheld devices and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain clear communication with Inventory, Warehouse, and other relevant teams
  • Oversee efficient loading and unloading of vehicles and production lines
  • Verify and complete all documentation accurately and comprehensively for load plans
  • Process internal stock movements (transfers, breakages, issues) on the ERP system
  • Perform physical counts on trucks to confirm loaded/unloaded quantities
  • Accurately record returns before offloading
  • Actively participate in stock deviation investigations and propose corrective actions
  • Stay conversant with relevant business information, policies, processes, and procedures
  • Accurately capture and update beer age and FIFO/FEFO compliance trackers
  • Monitor and report on digital journey and stock master usage/adherence
  • Compile and track adherence to full pallet check reports and update BIT/Refusals daily
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of POS reports
