Job Description
The Gaming Board of Tanzania (GBT), a public gaming regulatory institution, is seeking an Inspection and Compliance Manager. This role involves overseeing and monitoring gaming activities, ensuring compliance with gaming laws and GBT platforms, developing databases of gaming devices, and continuously reviewing gaming standards. The manager will also assess licensees' performance and advise on enforcement measures to maintain integrity within the gaming industry.
Requirements
- Holder of a Master degree in Gaming, Economics, Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, Information and Communication Technology, or equivalent qualifications from recognized institutions
- Working experience of at least eight (8) years in related field
- Should be at a senior position
- Tanzanian citizen
Responsibilities
- Inspection of gaming activities in accordance with GBT platform
- Provide support in carrying out gaming law
- Ensure that gaming officers perform their duties, responsibilities effectively, and efficiently
- Develop and maintain database of gaming devices
- Conduct continuous review of gaming standards and approach on gaming inspection and advice on necessary improvement to cater for modern inspection requirement
- Monitor and assess gaming licensees’ performance and compliance with gaming legislation and advise the Director of Strategic Operations on appropriate enforcement measures
- Conduct a continuous study and investigation of gaming activities for the purpose of ascertaining any defects in the gaming legislation in order to discover abuses in the industry and to deal with them
- Ensure gaming licensees pay statutory fees in accordance with the gaming legislation
- Develop effective and efficient business processes for improving quality of services delivered to operators
