Job Description

Said Salim Bakhresa & Co. Ltd – Transport Division is seeking an experienced IT Officer to support and improve its infrastructure, systems performance, and technical operations. This role focuses on hardware, software, and network management, ensuring system security, and providing technical support across the organization. The position is open to Tanzanian nationals only and offers the chance to work in a reputable and forward-looking company.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in IT support, preferably in logistics
• Proficiency in network administration, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with SAP, fuelling systems, and IT security best practices
• Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
• Professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or MCITP are an advantage
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks
• Great communication and collaboration skills
• Attention to detail and a passion for continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and networks
• Provide user support and resolve IT-related issues
• Ensure system security, backups, and compliance with IT policies
• Manage network infrastructure and VPNs
• Support SAP and fuelling systems
• Document IT processes and support internal projects
• Collaborate with departments to support business needs
