Debt Collection Agent

Job Description

Mogo Credit Tanzania seeks a Debt Collection Agent to manage customer payments, maintain records, follow up on overdue accounts, and support departmental goals in a professional manner.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field
• 1–2 years of experience in debt collection or customer service
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Send timely reminders to customers regarding upcoming or overdue payments via phone, email, and letters
• Maintain courteous and professional customer interactions
• Process and archive debt collection correspondence and related documents
• Track customer compliance with contractual payment obligations
• Follow up on overdue accounts for timely recovery
• Maintain accurate customer data, including debt balances and payment status
• Recommend improvements to debt collection strategies and workflows
• Participate in team discussions to enhance operational efficiency
• Meet or exceed individual and team collection targets
• Perform additional tasks assigned by the Collections Supervisor
