Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in Chemistry, Laboratory Technology, Food Science, or a related scientific discipline
• 1-3 years of experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably in the food, beverage, or sugar industry
• Knowledge of laboratory procedures, analytical techniques, and quality control principles
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining laboratory equipment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and record-keeping
• Ability to interpret results and identify deviations from specifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine quality control tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished sugar products
• Prepare samples for analysis and perform chemical and physical tests according to standard operating procedures
• Accurately record and analyze test data, reporting results to relevant departments
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning and cleanliness
• Identify and troubleshoot basic laboratory equipment malfunctions
• Ensure strict compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental standards within the laboratory
• Assist in the development and improvement of laboratory procedures
